Gabriel, Michael, Raphael
Out of carving, sculpting
Sketching, painting
They acquired earthly forms
And found residency
At the altars or among the columns
Of courtly palaces

You are an angel
But formless and nameless
Your stories unwritten in the scriptures
Your image uncaptured by the artists
You are absent from palaces, churches
Or modern-day museum collections

The real angels are
Free of colors and forms
They have a pair of heavenly wings
But still walk on the streets
Just like everyone else
